Current Foundation Projects

The building addition is done, but the task of enhancing the library continues.  We need to look to the future, and ensure that we have the resources to expand and enrich the programs and services of this amazing place.  Please consider giving a gift to support the ongoing improvements for the library.

Our goals for the coming year are:

.

• Outreach Storyteller Program– Continued funding of the Outreach Storyteller Program which brings library staff out to community daycares, preschools and kindergarten classes to read to children.  The program also provides 10-15 books for teachers to use in their classrooms each month, and it will give up to four books a year for each child to keep.

• Endowment Fund- The Endowment fund is a permanment fund in which the principal in the fund will never be spent.  It is invested; earning income that will be spent to support library services in perpetuity. The endowment fund in an investment in the future of the Stayton Public Library.  The endowment will ensure a steady, dependable source of funds to support the future needs of the library and our community.

   

• Continue to support library service - this will allow us to give money to the library  where it is needed most.
