What’s Happening @ the Library?
November 2007
The E.G. Siegmund Meeting Room has proven to be as popular as we had hoped. The Oregon Community Foundation met there in October. Regional librarians have been hosted for tours, to much enthusiastic acclaim. And, Jim Scheppke, Oregon State Librarian, will visit the first week in November. The public information meeting for the Highway 22 interchange will be held in the meeting room in mid-November. For scheduling the use of the E.G. Siegmund Meeting Room, contact Pam Pugsley, Library Director, at 503 769 3313.
WiFi has been installed so you can use your laptop to access the Internet anywhere in the library, thanks to a grant from Stayton Cooperative Telephone Company. All adult access computers are up and running, more than doubling the number of computers available for patron use.
Storytime continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10AM and a Mom & Toddler area has been established to segregate noisy little ones from those ready to sit and listen.
